“More important than the curriculum is the question of the methods of teaching and the spirit in which the teaching is given.”
Our programs are designed to produce results
Warriors Beyond War believes in the power of recreational dance therapy and dance instruction as an pivotal tool in drastically reducing the suicide rates that plague our military, veterans and first responders. Working with therapist, subject matter experts, dance Movement therapist, dance professionals and dance world champions, we aim at creating a unique holistic program geared towards life changing results. Through the use of intake forms and end of class surveys our program will be ever changing adapting and improving itself to have the most effective impact possible.
Understanding the power of community as well as physical, mental and spiritual fitness, Warriors Beyond War has created a community within a community by making many fitness, athletic and social programs available free of cost to our wounded heroes as well as the immediate families of those who were killed in action.
We believe that bringing back the sense of "tribe" or family where many with similar backgrounds and experiences gather to share stories or lend an open ear is a key component of our healing process as well as creating a sense of camaraderie among our alumni.
Benefits of Recreational Therapy Programs
We believe the key to preventing a large number of suicides among our veterans is constant activity, socialization, physical fitness, camaraderie among fellow veterans and purpose.
